Registered Nurse

Orange, NSW       Casual, Permanent part-time

Job Title: Registered Nurse.

Hours required: 30 hours per week with the potential to increase to full-time for the right candidate,

Location: Central West (Orange and Bathurst)

Pay Rate:  Up to $45 per hour

About the opportunity

Smarter Living Choices, a subsidiary of Medigalaxy Australia, is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse to join our diverse team who will embrace our values and our vision. The role includes working with various clients through the Department of Veterans Affairs, private, brokerage and NDIS participants.

Description Of Responsibilities

  • Assessments/ Care plan implementation

  • Mentoring/ supporting junior team members

  • Personal Care

  • Palliative Care

  • Wound Care

  • Continence Assessments

  • Business Promotion

  • Clinical Advisor for the team

  • Liaising with other healthcare professionals

  • Knowledge of DVA requirements

  • Knowledge of NDIS standards

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Current Nursing Registration with APHRA (at least 5 years post-grad experience)

  • Police Check

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Comprehensive Car Insurance

  • Reliable Vehicle and Drivers License

  • Mobile phone

  • Basic computer skills

  • Willingness to mentor

  • Multi-skilled and willing to learn

  • Time management skills

  • Reasonable knowledge of the working area

  • Wound Care

  • Proactive

  • Willingness to attend to personal care

  • Able to work in Bathurst and Orange

  • Available Monday to Friday 7 am to 7 pm (occasional weekends if required)

  • Fully vaccinated against COVID19

  • Able to work independently and also be part of a team

Job Title: Assistant in Nursing

Location: Central West (Orange and Bathurst)

Smarter Living Choices is seeking a passionate, caring, team-orientated Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our Orange/Bathurst and surrounds team on a casual basis (leading to permanency for the right candidates) for an immediate start. Working with clients in their own homes and our community.

Role Overview:
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
• Supporting clients who use personal equipment /aid, this may include walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, hoists
• Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress
• Respite Activities: Shopping, any planned social activity
• Palliative Care
• Dementia Care
